So this story starts with a small observation in Bihar which made a small startup grow into a big impact, Gulshan Kumar saw what people cannot see in everyday life, even after eating normal regular food, people around him were suffering from fatigue, obesity, low immunity, and increasing diseases, this thing forced Gulshan to think that after all what is the quality of the food that people are eating, then he came to the conclusion that it is not just about eating the right food but whether people are getting the essential nutrients from the food they are eating?
Hidden malnutrition is something that people usually don’t see or ignore and that’s why it significantly affects their health.
The solution to the problem:
Gulshan was so determined to solve this problem that he searched for as many solutions as possible and then he found the solution in the form of microgreens. Microgreens are the young, nutrient-dense plants that contain significantly higher levels of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants compared to fully grown vegetables. Different studies and experiments have shown that microgreens have 4 to 40 times more nutrients, making them even more essential in daily diets.
What started as just a curiosity turned into a hands-on experiment today, where Gulshan not only started growing microgreens on a small scale but also learned about its cultivation, benefits and every little thing about it for wider adoption.
Entry of GhaaPaat farms:
As Gulshan’s understanding deepened, he realized that his experiment would be useful not only for personal use but also for the larger community. This thought gave birth to GhasPaat Farms Pvt. Ltd., a startup whose vision was to become a high quality, nutrition accessible, affordable and sustainable startup for every consumer. The idea was not just to sell products but to solve real problems – fulfilling the gap between the intake of food and the nutrition.
Recognition to the startup:
As the impact of the startup grew, it began receiving recognition on larger platforms. GhaasPaat participated in different events such as global bio India 2024, bihar business connect 2024, and ICAR RCER industry meet 2024, where it shows its innovation and a mission towards larger community. The startup has also received support from the government of Bihar, which results in strengthening the credibility and growth potential of GhaasPaat.

Patna Gulshan added another success to his journey when his story got featured on All India Radio (AIR) Patna’s popular youth program “Yuvavani” on the occasion of National Startup Day.Through this platform, he shared his entrepreneurial journey, talked about his innovations, and explained the thinking behind the GhaasPaat.
This feature allowed his message to reach a much wider audience across Bihar through FM 102.5 and MW 621 KHz, as well as through online streaming,spreading awareness about both entrepreneurship and the importance of nutrition in everyone’s life.
