Home Vidya is an online platform created by Richa Kumari to help students and parents find a good teacher and coaching institute. She created this platform so that all the doubts of the students can be cleared and they can get a good education and also to solve the problem of finding reliable teachers.
In a short time, Home Vidya started gaining attention as it was a platform where anyone sitting at home could find and compare good and verified teachers or coaching institutes without depending only on recommendations.
At the age of 28 , Richa Kumari from Patna started HomeVidya, an online platform that helps students and parents find good tutors and coaching institutes after facing her own struggles finding a reliable tutor during her academic years .
The Problem Richa Faced:
The idea of HomeVidya came from Richa’s own struggles during her student life in Patna. She found it difficult to get good and trustworthy home tutors. Even though many students needed tuition, there was no proper platform where parents and students could search for verified tutors, compare different options, or get clear information.
Most people and children relied solely on the advice of relatives, neighbors, or friends. However, this process was time-consuming and often yielded poor results. Many families were left confused because there was no easy way to know which tutor was actually suitable.
Finding the Gaps in the Education System:
Richa says her educational background helped her understand these problems more deeply. She completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from A.N. College, Patna. She then earned a Bachelor of Education degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur. She later completed a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from Patna Women’s College.
Because of her studies in education and teaching, she understood both the needs of students and the difficulties faced by teachers and coaching institutes. She realized that the education system lacked transparency, accessibility, and a proper digital platform to connect students with the right Educators.
Why She Created HomeVidya:
After understanding all the problems, Richa felt that there was a need for a trusted platform where children and parents could find the right tutor without any confusion. She started HomeVidya with an aim to create a platform where people can easily find verified tutors, compare different options and get clear information before making any decision.The platform was designed not only for students and parents, but also for teachers and coaching centres that wanted to reach the right audience.
Why is HomeVidya Different?
Homevidya startup is trying to solve a problem that exists in Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities of India. In many places, information about tutors and coaching centres is scattered. Parents often do not know the real fees, teaching quality, faculty experience, or results of an institute.
